Teammates at the Firestone Fibers and Textiles Plant at Kings Mountain have been hard at work outside the plant's four walls, creating three on-site wildlife habitats. They hope to have them certified by the Wildlife Habitat Council (WHC) during the Fall of 2013.
Bridgestone Americas recently launched its One Team, One Planet Spent Tire Program at nationwide Earth Day activities in Washington, D.C. The initiative has a program for company-owned stores, a voluntary program for the company's extended network of affiliated retailers, and a community program that provides spent tire collection for neighborhood and river clean-up events.
More than 50 teammates from the Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations—Lebanon Distribution Center turned out May 5 for Nashville Clean Water Project's clean-up day at Percy Priest Lake.
